Honey and Olive Oil Face Mask
The antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of honey and olive oil have long been praised for their healing powers. This natural face mask, made by combining the two ingredients, is no exception. You can use it to treat acne, dry skin, and even sunburn.
Honey and Olive Oil Face Mask
The benefits of honey and olive oil are many. They're good for your skin, hair, nails, and more. Using them together as a face mask is one of the easiest ways to reap their benefits.
Honey has a lot of amazing health benefits for you too — from preventing cancer to soothing sore throats to helping you lose weight.
You can make this simple face mask in only five minutes using honey and olive oil in equal parts (one tablespoon each). Simply combine the ingredients in a small bowl, then apply the mixture directly to your skin — or use it in place of your current moisturizer on clean skin before bedtime.
You can also add other ingredients to practice different types of skincare:
For dry skin, apply a mixture of one tablespoon raw honey, one tablespoon olive oil, and one teaspoon lemon juice directly on your skin for about 30 minutes. Then rinse with lukewarm water.
Honey and Cinnamon Face Scrub
1. Mix 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of milk, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon to form a paste.
2. Massage the mixture onto your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes.
3. Rinse with warm water.
4. Honey has antibacterial properties that can help to keep your skin clear and blemish-free. It is also full of antioxidants that slow down the aging process and keep your skin looking young and healthy. Section: Honey and Milk Facial Cleanser
Honey and Oatmeal Facial Wash
Besides its nutritional qualities, honey is a great beauty product for the skin. It contains flavonoids, an antioxidant that gives protection from sun damage. It’s also anti-bacterial so it helps prevent acne and has humectant properties which mean it draws moisture to the skin. The best part of honey is that it’s good for any skin type, including sensitive skin.
If you’re looking to get clearer skin, mix ½ teaspoon of honey with ½ teaspoon of oatmeal. Oatmeal is a mild exfoliant that removes dead skin cells. Apply the mixture on the face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off with warm water. If you have acne, this mask can be used two to three times per week.
Honey and Lemon Face Mask
Mix half a teaspoon of honey and a few drops of lemon. Apply to your face and leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.
Honey and Lemon Face Mask for Oily Skin
Mix one teaspoon of honey, lemon juice, and cinnamon powder. Apply to your face and leave it on for 15 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.
Honey, Lemon, Milk, and Sugar Face Scrub
Mix one teaspoon of raw honey, two tablespoons of milk, a quarter cup of brown sugar, and a few drops of lemon juice. This is the perfect recipe for all skin types as the natural ingredients work together to exfoliate dead skin cells, fight bacteria, reduce inflammation, balance pH levels and moisturize skin at the same time.
Takeaway: Take care of your skin with a daily spoonful of honey
If you are looking for a simple way to do skincare, then honey for face is for you. You don’t need to spend money on expensive skincare products; just try out this remedy at home and be flabbergasted by its benefits.
